Dedicated adult parishioners and younger assistants lead children (ages 4-2nd grade) through a modified version of the Liturgy of the Word more suitable for their age during the 9:00 AM Mass.  The priest or lector will call all the children forward who wish to participate, bless them and send them with their teacher to a special prayer space.  They will then return after the Prayers of the Faithful to sit with their familes.
