  • What if my child is absent, late or needs an early dismissal?
Please call the school office at 314-743-8641 if your child is ill and will not be at school.
Students who must be excused for medical, dental, funeral or other reasons during school
hours are considered absent. For these types of absences, a written notice should be sent
to school in advance by a parent/guardian stating the time, length and reason for the
absence. A note of explanation upon return from an absence is required.

    Is there Before/After School Care?
Yes! We offer both. Please click HERE to find out more about our Before/Aftercare
    program

Where can I buy the school uniform?
Uniforms are sold by Just Me Apparel (636-391-3551). We also occasionally host a
uniform resale day where you can find gently used items. Additional information about our
official dress code policy (including our dress down day policy) can be found in the parent
    handbook by clicking HERE.

Can the children bring in treats for birthdays?
A birthday may be celebrated in one of two ways: (1) by having a dress down day, or (2) by
bringing in an approved birthday snack for their class only. Children whose birthday falls
during the summer are invited to celebrate their “half-birthday” - six months before the
actual date – in the same manner.

    Is tutoring available?
The eighth grade students in National Honor Junior Society offer tutoring to students in
K-3 one day a week. Tutoring is assigned by teacher recommendation. Title I tutoring is
available after school for students who qualify. Some St. Mark Staff members offer
    tutoring for a fee.

Does your school have a learning consultant?
We have a full-time learning consultant who works closely with students, teachers and
    parents.

When do the students attend mass?
Grades Kindergarten through four attend mass on Tuesday; Grades fifth through eighth
attend mass on Thursday. All school mass is on Friday.

    When can I register?
We would love to show you our school anytime you would like to visit. Call us at 314-743-
8641 to schedule a personal tour.
Registration for the next school year opens in February.

How do I communicate with the teachers?
Faculty and staff may be reached via our on-line system teacherease.com. Upon
registration, you will receive an e-mail with login information.
What time does school start and end?
Arrival begins at 7:30 AM. Classes begin at 7:45 AM. Dismissal is at 3:00 PM

How do I find out about weather-related closings?
All school cancellations will be announced over the School Reach System and local Channels
    2, 4 and 5.

PLEASE NOTE: Once the children are at school we will NOT dismiss early for inclement
weather. If the weather should worsen during the day parents are welcome to remove
THEIR OWN children. Carpools will not be dismissed until we have parent permission by
    phone or note.

At times it is best to follow a snow schedule instead of closing school. The following time
schedule will be used if the school is put on a snow schedule:

8:00 AM – Before Care begins
9:00 AM – Students may enter the building
    9:15 AM – Classes begin

    How do I volunteer?
There are many ways you can share your time and talent with St. Mark. If you are
interested in helping in any way, please fill out the VOLUNTEER FORM and return to the
school office. We will keep track of our needs and contact you for assistance.

    What school supplies are needed?
