There are many ways in which one can minister at Mass from being a greeter and altar server to serving on an important committee that helps plan our liturgies. Please take the time to explore and to ask yourself "what is it that God is calling me to do?"
Altar Servers
All children in the fifth through eighth grade of the parish are invited to take part in this important ministry. For more information contact Fr. Burkemper @ (314) 743-8609.
Lectors
Be an integral part of the Mass by sharing the Readings at weekend Masses with the parish community. The workbook for lectors is available for preparing the Readings. Schedules are distributed quarterly. Contact Ed Schneider (314) 894-6079 or Fr. Burkemper (314) 743-8609
Hospitality Ministers
We at St. Mark's know that a person's impression of a parish is significantly shaped by a person's first few moments of their visit and so we strive hard to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all who come to our parish especially at our Sunday liturgies. In addition to being an agent of welcome to those who come to mass, other duties include helping people find a seat, taking up the collection, guiding people at Communion time and finally handing out bulletins at the end of Mass. We encourage everyone to join this important ministry no matter what age you are. For more information contact the pastoral office@ (314) 743-8600
Petition Writers
Petition writers work together to write the Prayers of the Faithful (petitions) for Sunday and Holy Day liturgies. If you would like to be a part of this prayerful ministry, please contact the pastoral office @ (314) 743-8600
Offetory Counters
Money counters are dedicated parishioners who divide up into groups and donate their time to accurately count the Sunday collections. For more information or to join a team please contact the pastoral office @ (314) 743-8600
